VARM 2026

VARM is the annual career fair of the V and AE student sections at Chalmers University of Technology. The fair is aimed at students in the V and AE sections, that is, future civil engineers in civil engineering and the built environment, and students in business development and entrepreneurship in the built environment sector. It is run entirely by students in a committee under the V section and is described as a fair for students, by students. The fair takes place from 10:00 to 16:00 in Ljusgården, next to the V building on Campus Johanneberg. According to the fair's catalogue, 58 companies and organisations are exhibiting, including Bengt Dahlgren, Bjerking, ByggDialog, COWI, Derome, ELU Konsult, Göteborgs Stad, Higab, Implenia and IN3PRENÖR. Several exhibitors are looking for students for degree projects, summer jobs, internships, trainee programmes and employment. In the fair's digital catalogue you can browse the exhibitors, see a map of the fair and save your favourites – a good thing to do before you go. During the day there are guest lectures and competitions, and you can have contact talks with companies. Contact talks require registration, which is done via the Kontaktsamtal link on the fair's website. The fair also includes a banquet. This year's theme is "Goes Sustainable": social, environmental and economic sustainability, based on Agenda 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The organisers encourage visitors to bring a sustainability perspective to the fair and to take the chance to network with potential future employers.
